TMF Song Weekend 13-14 March 2026

Welcome!

The festival starts in the Spring with a celebration of song in one of the west's most remarkable settings.  The festival's Song Weekend will be hosted at Westonbirt School, the spectacular neo-Elizabethan house designed by Lewis Vulliamy in close collaboration with his client, Robert Holford, one of England's great patrons of art and culture. The house is renowned for its richly decorated interiors, including the magnificent Library, which will provide the atmospheric setting for the recitals. Performances will be accompanied on a Steinway Model B concert grand piano and the weekend will offer us the opportunity to experience song in the more intimate spaces for which so much of this repertoire was intended.

Virtually all the songs will be in English, but nonetheless I encourage you to familiarise yourselves with the poetry in advance; you will find the texts here on this website.

Priority booking for Dolphin Friends of the Festival opens on Saturday 10 January 2026, with booking information passwords to be sent by email on Friday 9 January.  General box office opens on Saturday 24 January 2026.

The festival team and I look forward to welcoming you to Tetbury for a memorable weekend of music, history, and place.
