'When Joseph met Wolfgang and Edward met William'



As usual the 2022 festival included three fascinating lectures. On Thursday author and broadcaster Sarah Dunant gave a talk about creativity in Renaissance Italy, on Saturday Professor Natasha Loges returned to Tetbury with a lecture on the clarinet 'the nightingale of the orchestra' and on Sunday Brian David (pictured) told the story of two very different musical relationships, those between Haydn & Mozart and Elgar & Walton. Brian also revealed his clever solution to the long standing riddle of the Enigma variations!
